CHSTK PLR – it's never too cold to ride a bike

This one's for the people who find wool too itchy. The third (and last this winter) version of Mufa CHSTK is made of fleece. Low key grey of the fabric is contrasted only by the dark plum of the thread used to finish the edges and sew the velcro. The shape is the usual CHSTK shape, size likewise.

Technical properties of wool made way for the coziness of the fuzziness of fleece. The fabric is quite thick, but still CHSTK PLR weights next to nothing.

There was no sweat (too cold), no blood either (thankfully), but there were tears.

As the fabric is less refined than in the previous versions, CHSTK PLR costs less.

Size and shape are the same as in previous versions.

RLN - woolen neck warmer

Made from Polish army neck warmers (new, not used - of course!) cut in half to make the length a bit more manageable. Now, they're from approx. 40x20 cm (15.7x7.8 inches) to approx. 60x22 cm (23.6x8.6 inches), and make great neck warmers, indispensable during winter and early spring rides (I seriously hope you're still riding your bikes despite all the white stuff around and the temperatures hitting new lows! :-). If you try hard enough, you can wear the RLN on your head, or form it into a balaclava.

The RLN's are made of a very strechy fabric, and are seamless, so they're really comfortable. The fabric is 25% wool, so it keeps you warm even when wet, and is naturally anti-bacterial (as in "won't stink after long wear").

Available in two colors: khaki, and steel grey. To liven the colors a bit, we printed the RLN's with a large Mufa logo: yellow on the khaki, black on the steel grey.

KSZN - put a pocket on your belt

KSZN is a small pouch you put on your belt. It uses velcro closure, and fits a wallet, a mobile phone, and a few other small items – not too many, but still, it leaves your hands free.

The low key, stylish design and color make the KSZN suitable for all occasions, on and off the bike. The dark brown of the pouch is contrasted only by the strong orange velcro inside.

KSZN is made of salvaged leather – this time it is a very thick, luxurious semi matte leather in dark chockolate color.

Dimensions: approx. 14x17 cm (5.5 x 6.7 inches). Maximum belt width: 5 cm (2 inches).

Price: 13 Euro. Use PayPal links on the right for immediate transaction.

LCK - mini u-lock holster

Sure, you can carry your mini Kryptonite u-lock in your backpocket, or shove it behind your belt, but come on – is it really that convenient? Or, dare I say, stylish?

Here comes the LCK - a leather u-lock holster you wear on your belt. Available in yellow and orange leather (the former is a bit stiffer than the latter).

To make things as environment friendly as possible, the LCK is made of salvaged leather that would otherwise end up in the dumpster. As it is natural leather, it should adapt with time to the way the rider slips the u-lock in, and takes it out of the holster. The LCK is 7 cm (2.75 inches) high, so the u-lock is held securely.

LCK is made especially for the mini Kryptonite u-lock, but it should fit any u-lock 11.5 cm (4.5 inches) wide.

SZLFK - leather belt loop with keyring

Well, the title says it all. A salvaged leather belt loop with a D-ring for keys and other stuff. Fits belts up to about 5.5 cm wide (2.16 inches). The belt used for the SZLFK is 3 cm wide (1.18 inches). The D-ring is made by ITW Nexus, so it's sturdy enough for any use and abuse.

You can slide the SZLFK on your belt, or use the convenient snap closure. Low key branding is reduced to the Mufa logo stamped on the inside of the SZLFK.

TSHRT - wear Mufa on your chest and be seen

No fancy textiles this time – 97% cotton, 3% polyester, medium weight. Not too slim, not too loose. TSHRT is a heather grey t-shirt with Mufa logo on the chest, black graphics (each unique and handmade) and reflective stripe on the back. Very nice tee with a touch of bike-themed features.

Size: the most versatile i.e. medium :-) The pictures show how it fits people of different sizes.

PSK - save your pants!

If you're not riding a city bike with a chainguard, you'd better be careful with your pants. If they're caught in the chain, you not only risk damaging them (at best), but also hitting the ground (at worse, e.g. if you ride a fixed gear) - neither is pleasant or stylish. PSK to the rescue!

PSK is elegant, after all it's made of leather. It is versatile (one size fits most) - its length can be adjusted with snaps from approx. 26 cm (10.2 inches) to approx. 30-31 cm (12.2 inches). Made of salvaged leather of various widths (belt scraps this time). Most are 1.5 cm wide (0.6 inches), but some are wider (up to 4 cm / 1.6 inches), some have see-through patterns punched through. Ask for current inventory before buying.

CHSTK - pure new wool

Seemingly, the CHSTK is a perfectly ordinary scarf, but the devil is in the details. The double layer of wool (70%) guarantees comfort even in the most adverse weather, and the small amount of artificial fabrics (30%) increases durability. Wool is the most technical of natural fabrics: it has anti-bacterial properties, so it never stinks (and if you do manage to make it smell bad, you don't have to wash it straight away, it's enough to air it); also, it keeps you warm even when it gets wet. The fabric used for the CHSTK is a bit itchy, but who's going to notice that while riding in snow?

The characteristic wide ends of the CHSTK with cut off corners help to keep warm not only the front, but also the back of the neck. Velcro closure makes it easy to put the CHSTK on, and adjust the length.

No labels, only Mufa logo stamped on the back.
